Projects

At Swaranjali Foundation, each project brings us closer to empowering blind and underserved students with the transformative gift of music. We work with schools across rural regions to establish fully equipped music classrooms, donating instruments, Braille music books, and essential gear. To date, our efforts have reached over 300 students across multiple schools, with more classrooms currently in development. By creating inclusive, accessible spaces for musical education, we’re helping blind youth build confidence, express themselves, and discover opportunity through sound. One instrument, one classroom, one student at a time—we’re amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.

Project Success

As part of its mission to build sustainable music programs for blind students in rural India, the Swaranjali Foundation inaugurated two new music learning and training centers during India’s Independence Day celebrations: the Dr. Narendra Bhivapurkar Residential School for the Blind (Amravati, Maharashtra) and the Swami Vivekanand Residential School for the Blind (Paratwada, Maharashtra). These inaugurations were attended by Members of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, philanthropists, school trustees, teachers, students, and local dignitaries, and were featured in multiple newspapers. Several dignitaries delivered speeches commending the Foundation’s efforts, and the Blind Welfare Association of Amravati presented a Memento of Recognition & Appreciation in recognition of the organization’s contributions.

The most meaningful moments came from meeting the students and teachers, whose enthusiasm for their new music schools—equipped with advanced instruments and technology—was both humbling and inspiring. Many students immediately began performing, eager to further develop their talents, while volunteer teachers pledged continued support to strengthen the training programs. These inaugurations mark a significant step toward the Foundation’s vision of expanding access to music education and nurturing creativity among visually impaired youth in underserved regions of India.
